For instance SWISS ORDINANCE ON MATERIALS AND ARTICLES IN CONTACT WITH FOOD (SR 817.023.21) which details certain provisions relating to packaging inks. Within this amendment, introduced on 7th March 2008 and coming into force on 1st April 2010, Article 26g details the requirement that only permitted substances should be used in the manufacture of Packaging Inks. Meridian can issue a statement on this matter as required by the customer. Acceptance of the stated intended use and storage and handling conditions will give a legal compliance validity of 12 months from date of supply. Meridian is certificated as a Grade AA supplier of high risk (direct contact) food packaging under the BRC Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials (currently at Issue 5)

    • Ambient, Dry Storage Away from Direct Sunlight:

    • Ideal storage conditions between 10°C and 30°C (50 - 86°F)
    • Ideal RH 40 - 70%
    • Should not be stored in direct sunlight and avoid major thermal fluctuation
    • Before assembly the packaging should be conditioned a minimum of 24 hours room temperature (15 - 30°C)
    • recommended use of the packaging within one year of purchase
