Hot Foiling and Embossing
Traditional Processes - Leading Technology - Innovative Design Features
The Process
Embossing means that the cartonboard is shaped into a clearly defined, permanent relief. Positive embossing creates a design that is lifted from the surface. Negative embossing (or debossing) is where the design is pressed inwards. Where the design does not use pre-printed artwork, it is referred to as blind embossing.
Hot Foil Stamping (Foiling) is where a design is adhered to the material through the use of heat. The pressure of the application can determine whether this is in combination with embossing.
Artwork and Dies
We offer full support in helping to define the parameters of embossed and foiled designs. We also offer artwork services to work closely with you to create the design you require.
Once a design is agreed, proofed and approved, foiling or embossing dies are created and are held by us for a quick turn around on any repeat orders.
